Basil 'Lettuce Leaf' has the largest leaves of any basil we have grown. The leaves can grow up to 6 inches long. The sweet green leaves have have a mild flavor reminiscent of Genovese basil. It is great choice for pesto and garnishing salads. Lettuce Leaf basil has white flowers.

Sow basil indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant 2 weeks after the last frost date. Or direct sow outside after there is no chance of frost. Thin to 10 inches apart. Full sun.
