Bean 'Scarlet Beauty' is large, deep burgundy with orange splashes of color. This beautiful American heirloom was bred by Professor Elwyn Meader of New Hampshire and released to the public in 1953. Scarlet Beauty beans are great for chili.

Sow beans outdoors 2 weeks after the last frost date when the soil is warm. Sow 1 inch deep and 3 inches apart in rows spaced 2–3 feet apart. Full sun.
