Beet 'Bull's Blood' has burgundy leaves that can be eaten raw when young.The leaves are redder in cold weather. The root is 3 inches in diameter and dark red. This open-pollinated variety was introduced by Kees Sahin in 1986.

Sow seeds outside 4 weeks before the last frost date, 1/2 inch deep. Thin to 3 inches apart. Full sun.
