Eggplant 'Black Beauty' has large, 6-inch, round fruits that are deep purple. This 1902 American heirloom is best grown in places with long summers as it is late to mature.

Sow eggplant seeds a 1/4 inch deep 8 weeks before the last frost date. Transplant outside 16 inches apart 2 weeks after the last frost date or when all danger of frost has past. Full sun.
