Eggplant 'Apple Green'

Eggplant 'Apple Green' is a productive variety with 3-inch green oval fruits. It has a mild flavor and thin skin that does not require peeling. It is a great eggplant for northern climates. 

 

For optimal texture without seeds, pick the eggplants in the light green stage before they become dull and white. Apple Green was developed in 1964 by Elwyn Meader of the University of New Hampshire.

 

Spacing 16 inches.

 

Sowing Eggplant Seeds:

 

Sow eggplant seeds a 1/4 inch deep 8 weeks before the last frost date. Transplant outside 16 inches apart 2 weeks after the last frost date or when all danger of frost has past. Full sun.
