Okra 'Okinawa Pink'

Okra 'Okinawa Pink' has pink, uniquely ribless pods. The light magenta color fades when cooked. The plants have dark red stems and bright green leaves. The cream colored flowers lend a tropical feel to the garden. Okinawa Pink okra is originated in Okinawa, Japan.

 

Pick okra pods at 2–4 inches and wear gloves to avoid slivers.

 

Height 3–5 feet. Spacing 15 inches.

 

Sowing Okra Seeds:

 

Soak seeds overnight. Sow seeds outdoors after the danger of frost is past, or start indoors 5 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 1/2 inch deep. Space 15 inches apart. Full sun.
