Tomato 'Yellow Pear' are a childhood favorite because I would imagine they were little people. Yellow Pear grows in clusters of mild and sweet fruits that are around 1 1/2 inches long. This pre-1800 heirloom is excellent for salads and lunch boxes.
 
Sowing Tomato Seeds: 
 
Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date, 1/8 inch deep. Transplant outside 2 weeks after the last frost date. Plant tomatoes deep in the soil for a better root structure. Space 3 feet apart. Full sun.
